Why We choose this partner and Activity
We’ve often seen children become cold and restless on long snowmobile rides. That’s why we’ve chosen a partner who offers electrically heated sledges for children, helping younger passengers stay warm and comfortable while adults enjoy the safari. When the children are comfortable, the whole family can enjoy the experience.

Family Snowmobile Ride
Enjoy a family snowmobile safari designed for families who want to experience the Arctic together in a small group, with professional guides and a personal approach.
We keep our groups small, with a maximum of 8 guests, allowing our guides to focus on your family and adapt the pace to the children. There is time to get comfortable, ask questions and enjoy the experience together.
Once everyone is ready, ride through snowy Arctic forests and open winter landscapes for approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on the group’s pace and driving skills. Along the way, stop to take photographs and enjoy the scenery.
We don’t rush from one stop to the next. Our guides can adapt the route and pace to the group, and when conditions and the schedule allow, we can spend a little longer on the trails.
Before the Ride
At our office in Rovaniemi, we’ll lend you the winter equipment needed for the safari: thermal overalls, winter boots, gloves, a balaclava and a helmet. We’ll help you find the right sizes before heading to the snowmobile base.
No previous snowmobile experience is required. Before setting off, your guide will explain how to drive the snowmobile and provide a full safety briefing.
On the Trail
- Riding time: approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on conditions and the group’s pace.
- Twin driving: two people share one snowmobile, with the opportunity to take turns driving. Both drivers must meet the driving requirements.
- Solo driving: available as an additional option.
- Snowmobiles: newest-generation machines, limited to a maximum speed of 40 km/h.
- Route: snowy forests and open landscapes, with photo stops along the way.
- The route and riding time may change with weather, snow and trail conditions. Where conditions and the schedule allow, the guide may extend the time on the trails.
Children’s Comfort
- Children under 140 cm travel in a heated children’s sleigh, pulled by the guide’s snowmobile.
- Children over 140 cm may ride behind an adult driver, subject to availability and their ability to hold on securely.
