This journey brings together remote Arctic nature and the pleasure of a long day on a snowmobile. Away from busy routes, you can spend much of the day surrounded by forests, frozen lakes and very few other people. We love discovering where Finland’s snowmobile trails can take you—the changing terrain, the sense of freedom and the satisfaction of reaching your overnight stop after an active day.
5-Day Lapland Stay with a 3-Day Snowmobile Expedition
Arrive in Rovaniemi a day before your snowmobile expedition and spend a final night there after the ride, giving yourself time to settle in and rest before travelling home.
We’re happy to help arrange your arrival and departure days, including accommodation, airport transfers, restaurant bookings and extra activities before or after the safari. Let us know your travel plans and anything else you need help with, and we can put together a stay that suits you. These additional arrangements are not included in the safari price and are quoted separately.
The safari price covers the three riding days: Days 2–4 below. Accommodation, meals and airport transfers on the additional arrival and departure days are not included and can be arranged separately for an additional charge. Accommodation during the safari is also charged separately, as described in the accommodation section.
Day 1 – Arrival in Rovaniemi

Arrive in Rovaniemi and travel to your accommodation. An airport transfer can be arranged separately for an additional charge.
Afternoon/evening | Check-in and time to settle in
Settle into your accommodation and prepare your belongings for the expedition. Your safari pick-up time and meeting arrangements will be confirmed before departure.
Evening | Dinner and rest
Enjoy dinner at your own expense and get a good night’s sleep before three days of snowmobiling.
Overnight stay: accommodation in Rovaniemi, arranged separately and not included in the safari price.
Day 2 – From Rovaniemi into the Forests (L, D)

Have breakfast at your own expense before collection from your accommodation. Meet your guide and begin your three-day snowmobile expedition through Finnish Lapland.
During the day | Forest trails and higher ground
Follow forest trails towards higher elevations, where clear weather offers views across the surrounding winter landscape. Settle into the rhythm of expedition riding, with breaks along the way.
Lunch stop | A break along the route
Enjoy an included picnic lunch at a scenic location or stop for a meal in a local restaurant, depending on the day’s programme.
Afternoon/evening | First overnight stop
Finish the day’s ride and settle into a wilderness hut or hotel. Enjoy your included dinner and rest before continuing the journey. The overnight location will be confirmed with the programme.
Day 3 – Further into Lapland (B, L, D)

Have breakfast and prepare for another day of riding with your guide.
During the day | Exploring the backcountry
Travel through a changing landscape of forests, frozen wetlands and hills. Follow the route at a comfortable pace, with opportunities to stop and enjoy the surroundings.
Along the route | Lunch and rest breaks
Pause for an included picnic or restaurant lunch. Daily distances and stops depend on the confirmed route and conditions.
Afternoon/evening | Second overnight stop
Reach your next wilderness hut or hotel, enjoy dinner and relax after the day’s ride. The accommodation location will be confirmed with the programme.
Day 4 – Open Landscapes and Return to Rovaniemi (B, L)
Morning | Breakfast and the final riding stage
Enjoy breakfast before setting off with your guide for the last day of the expedition.
During the day | Frozen lakes and wetlands
Ride through open terrain, across frozen lakes and snow-covered wetlands, alongside stretches of forest trail. Stop for lunch and breaks before completing the circuit towards Rovaniemi.
Total safari distance: approximately 510 km over three riding days. Daily distances depend on the confirmed route.
Arrival time: to be confirmed | Return to Rovaniemi
Complete the snowmobile expedition. The exact finishing point and return time will be confirmed before departure.
Evening | Dinner and an additional overnight stay
Spend a final evening in Rovaniemi before travelling home. Dinner and this additional night’s accommodation are not included in the safari price. Accommodation can be arranged separately for an additional charge.
Day 5 – Departure from Rovaniemi

- Couples have a separate room. Bathrooms may be shared.
- Solo travellers and travellers in odd-numbered groups may need to share a room with another traveller.
- Accommodation arrangements depend on availability, so flexibility may be required.
Meals

Arrival, Departure & Extra Activities
- You can add an arrival day before the safari and a departure day afterwards, creating a five-day stay with three riding days.
- Accommodation, meals and airport transfers for these additional days are not included in the safari price.
- We’re happy to help arrange accommodation, airport transfers, restaurant bookings and additional activities before or after the safari.

Cancellation Policy
- 61–365 days before departure: a cancellation fee of 20% of the booking price applies.
- 60 days or less before departure: a cancellation fee of 100% of the booking price applies.
