Join us for a 5–8 hour evening adventure that begins in Rovaniemi city centre and leads deep into the Lappish wilderness. Depending on the weather and aurora conditions, we travel in a comfortable minivan, stopping at carefully chosen viewpoints for the best possible chance to see the lights. This Northern Lights chase offers unlimited kilometres, and we are dedicated to staying and driving with you for up to 8 hours to maximize your chances of witnessing this natural phenomenon.

Your guide will look after you, share everything you’d like to know about the Aurora Borealis, and capture beautiful pictures of you. While you watch the sky for nature’s magic, enjoy warm drinks and light snacks.

Your adventure begins with meeting your guide. If you need extra warmth, high-quality winter clothing is available for a small additional fee—just let us know in advance by email. Before we head out, our team—who monitor weather and aurora forecasts throughout the day—will provide the latest updates, and your guide will give a fascinating introduction to the Northern Lights: what they are, how they form, and the best ways to spot them under the night’s specific conditions.

Next, we’ll set off on a scenic ride through the Rovaniemi area. After some driving, we’ll make the first of a few carefully chosen stops. At each location, your guide—continuously checking the conditions—will be ready with the camera to capture the beauty of the aurora if it appears. As you wait, enjoy hot drinks and hear traditional stories and legends about the Northern Lights.

We continue this cycle of driving and stopping at promising viewpoints until our adventure comes to an end, after which we return you safely to your accommodation.
