Full-Day Snowmobile Ride

Venture beyond the regular tourist routes on a full-day snowmobile adventure through Finnish Lapland. Ride through taiga forests and frozen landscapes around Rovaniemi, following a route adapted to the group’s riding skills and the day’s weather conditions.

This tour focuses on long-distance riding, with several stops to enjoy the quiet surroundings and take photographs. A professional Arctic guide leads the way, adjusting the route and pace to the conditions.

Midway through the journey, stop for lunch around a traditional Finnish campfire. Your guide will show you how to light a fire using dry birch bark and flint and steel. Warm up, enjoy your meal and prepare for the afternoon’s ride.

This is an adults-only experience. We recommend single driving so you can enjoy the full ride at the controls of your own snowmobile.

Before the Ride

We’ll lend you thermal overalls, winter boots, gloves, a helmet and a balaclava for the safari. Your guide will explain how to operate the snowmobile and provide driving and safety instructions before departure.

On the Trail

• Total duration: approximately 7 hours, including transfers to and from the starting point.
• Time outdoors: approximately 5½–6 hours, including riding and breaks.
• Standard arrangement: two adults share one snowmobile.
• Single driving: recommended for this longer safari, available for an additional €85 per person.
• Solo travellers can join under the same sharing or single-driving conditions.
• The route is adapted to the group’s riding skills, weather and trail conditions.

Participation Requirements

• Adults only. Drivers must be at least 18 years old.
• Drivers must hold a valid A1, T, A or B category driving licence accepted in Finland, according to the operator’s requirements.
• Bring your physical driving licence on the day.
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
• The experience requires endurance and involves extended time outdoors in winter conditions.
• The operator does not recommend this tour for participants with heart conditions or other serious medical conditions. Please discuss suitability before booking.

• Warm base layers and suitable winter clothing to wear beneath the provided equipment

Damage Liability

• Drivers are responsible for damage caused to their snowmobile.
• The operator states a flat-rate liability of €1,000 per person in the event of an accident.
